Divided into seven rectangular sectors, with well laid out streets, right angles, its planning is a marvel of urbanism of the eighteenth century, when not even in Europe there was a similar systematization. Surrounded by steep hills on three of its cardinal points, the city is guarded by a powerful fortified wall, with seven gates. We will visit the astronomical observatory that the monarch himself built, equipped with instruments designed by him, of considerable size, and whose accuracy is difficult to match even today. We will also visit the maharaja’s palace, a former royal residence, and today a museum of manuscripts, Rajput, and Mughal paintings and weapons. We will drive through the residential and business areas of the “pink city”, with a panoramic stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), one of the most famous monuments of Jaipur. Accommodation (during the visit there is a stop of 1.30 hrs for lunch, not included and is paid directly by the customer at destination). During the visit, a stop will be made at the famous fabric stores of Jaipur to demonstrate the most important handicrafts of this area. After a short time, the city was abandoned due to a lack of water. After the visit, continue by road to Agra (during the visit there is a stop of 1.30 hrs for lunch, not included and is paid directly by the customer at destination).
