DAY 1
Arrival in the city of Bogota, the multicultural capital of Colombia. One of our representatives will be waiting for you to take you to the vehicle that will drive you from the “El Dorado” International Airport to the hotel of your choice. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2
Breakfast. Today you will visit the historic center of Bogota, accompanied by one of our representatives, who will pick you up at the hotel lobby. This pedestrian tour starts at the Plaza de Bolivar, we will visit the surrounding streets and you will appreciate buildings such as the National Capitol, center of Congress and architectural jewel of Bogota, the Casa de Los Comuneros, Santa Clara Church Museum, the Casa de Nariño, the seat of the Presidency and where Antonio Nariño, the precursor of Colombian Independence, was born. We will enter the Gold Museum, whose architecture refers to the indigenous cosmology and has about 34,000 pieces of gold and silver work from various pre-Hispanic cultures. Afterwards, we will walk in the footsteps of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, visiting the Casa Museo Quinta de Bolívar. Now, we prepare to be 3,152 meters closer to the stars and visit the majestic Cerro de Monserrate, the silent watchtower of the city of Bogota. It is the sanctuary where the image of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate is venerated. Descent and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Lodging.
DAY 3
Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the magical realism of the city or do some of the optional activities suggested in this program. Lodging.
DAY 4
Breakfast. At the indicated time transfer to the airport in Bogota. Arrival in Cartagena city also known as the “corralito de piedra”, reception and transfer from the Rafael Núñez Airport in Cartagena to the chosen hotel. Check-in. Lodging.
DAY 5
Breakfast. Cartagena de Indias is one of the most touristic destinations in our country. Here, you will find all the joy, flavor, and color of our Caribbean region. At the agreed time, we will pick you up at your hotel to accompany you on this wonderful tour of the city. We will pass through the modern Bocagrande, with its beaches and shopping areas, continue to the neighborhood of Manga, where the contrast between the republican architecture and modern buildings will amaze you. We will arrive at one of the jewels of the city: the Castle or fort of San Felipe de Barajas, built by the Spanish, to defend against pirates and later, the English, in the seventeenth century. We will continue with a brief walk through the historic center of this beautiful city. This tour will end with a visit to the Emerald Museum. Return to the hotel, rest of the day at leisure – Accommodation.
DAY 6
Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the magical realism of the city or do some of the optional activities suggested in this program. Lodging.
DAY 7
Breakfast. At the indicated time in the morning transfer by road to the city of Santa Marta in private service with air conditioning and all the established biosecurity protocols. Arrival, rest of the day at leisure. Lodging.
DAY 8
Breakfast. Departure from the hotel to start a visit to the oldest city in South America. This beautiful city is surrounded by mountains and the Caribbean Sea, with a warm and cool climate, thanks to the breeze blowing from the Sierra Nevada. You will enter the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, the last resting place of the liberator Simón Bolívar. You will continue on the route to visit the monument to Pibe Valderrama, a renowned Colombian soccer player. Leaving the city, you can climb the mountainous area, until you reach the Mirador de Taganga, a fishing village and a place where you will be surprised by the sunset with its orange, red and purple tones. Before returning to the hotel, we will take a pedestrian tour through the main streets of the historic center, characterized by its narrow alleys and colonial-style houses. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 9
Breakfast. Free day to rest and learn more about the city or do some optional activity. Lodging.
DAY 10
Breakfast. Last day of the trip before returning home, be sure to bring back the best souvenirs. At the indicated time transfer from the hotel to Santa Marta airport to take your flight to your city of origin.
