DAY 1
Arrival at the Chihuahua airport where you will be met by Viajes Dorados staff and transferred to your hotel. Your travel documents containing hotel vouchers, train tickets and itinerary will be at your hotel reception; please request them at your hotel check-in upon arrival. Rest of the day at leisure. This afternoon we suggest you take a city tour (optional – not included) visiting the different museums and historical sites of the city or a trip to the Nombre de Dios Caves; please request information upon arrival with your Viajes Dorados transfer agent. DAY 2
This morning at 6:00 am you will be transferred by Viajes Dorados staff to the Autotransportes Turisticos Noroeste bus station to board your bus at 7:00 am to Creel. Arrival in Creel at approximately 11:00 am where you will be met and transferred to your hotel by hotel staff. Free afternoon to enjoy this picturesque Pueblo Magico. This afternoon we suggest you take a walk (optional – not included) in the surroundings, please ask for information at the reception of your hotel. Lodging: Hotel Real de Creel or similar / subject to availability.
DAY 3
Breakfast included at the hotel. This morning at 10:30 am transfer by hotel staff to the Autotransportes Turísticos Noroeste bus station to board at 11:00 am your bus to Divisadero. Arrival at 12:00 pm; please go directly to the hotel located a few steps from the bus station. On this day, we suggest visiting the Barrancas del Cobre Adventure Park (optional – not included). Here you can hike on your own to the different viewpoints, viewpoint flying stone, challenge your adventurous spirit on the suspension bridge that crosses a small canyon, ride the cable car or zip lines (optional – not included) or simply buy a nice Tarahumara handicraft. Today: Breakfast included Lodging: Hotel Divisadero or similar / subject to availability This afternoon enjoy the wonderful sunset that the Copper Canyon gives us.
DAY 4
All aboard! Breakfast included; then please go directly to the train station to board the tourist class Chepe Express Train at 9:55 am to the colonial city of El Fuerte. Enjoy the most interesting part of the train ride as you cross several bridges and tunnels that adorn the breathtaking views that the Sierra Madre Mountains offer. Arrival in El Fuerte “Pueblo Magico” at 3:35 pm where you will be met by Mr. Pedro Bernal (transfer driver) and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, walk on your own through the cobblestone streets, visit its colonial church, the municipal palace, the market, the local museum, also take a relaxing walk along the banks of the river that crosses by one side of your hotel or simply enjoy the beautiful facilities of your hotel. We also recommend that you delight your palate with delicious seafood dishes offered by the various local restaurants or your own hotel; our recommendation: Cauque or river prawns!
