DAY 1

Arrival in Cairo. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2

Transfer to the cruise ship by our Globe Trotters Agency correspondent.

DAY 3

Breakfast and free day. There is an optional scheduled excursion to visit the most emblematic sites of the city (THIS EXCURSION IS OPTIONAL FOR PAYMENT AT DESTINATION After picking you up at the hotel early in the morning we will enter the historical center of the largest metropolis in Africa. Our first stop will be the Citadel of Saladin, a huge medieval fortress that has become Cairo’s best known non-pharaonic monument. Inside the fortress we will enter the Mosque of Mohammed Ali, known as the Alabaster Mosque because of the material that covers it. Its ornate decoration is spectacular. Leaving the fortress behind we will head to the Khan El-Khalili market (Khan El-Khalili), the most famous market in Cairo. Walking through its labyrinthine streets is like visiting a real open-air museum. Jan el-Jalili is perfect for buying souvenirs and reproductions of Ancient Egyptian artifacts. After the market we will stop for lunch. The menu includes several salads and a main course accompanied by rice and vegetables. For dessert, a refreshing fruit salad. In the afternoon we will spend 3 hours to discover the Egyptian Museum, the most important not only in the country, but in the whole world. Here you will find the masterpieces of the Pharaonic era, its greatest exponent being the treasure of Tutankhamun. We will visit the Coptic quarter, one of the most unique of the city. Here, we will visit Al-Muallaqa, better known as the Hanging Church, because it was built on top of the ruins of the Tower of Babylon. Nearby, we will view the Ben Ezra Synagogue, located on the site where the baby Moses is believed to have been found. We will also visit the Church of St. Sergius, known as the Church of the Cave, where the Holy Family was hidden during their flight to Egypt. The experience ends at our hotel.

DAY 4

Breakfast. In the morning visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Kefren, Mykerinos and the Sphinx. This visit has a duration of approx. 3 hours, after its completion, transfer to Cairo airport for the flight to Aswan, arrival and transfer to the ship, cold dinner in the room and accommodation.

DAY 5

Full board on board. In the early morning possibility of making the optional visit to the Abu Simbel Temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari. Return to Aswan to visit Philae Temple, Falukha ride, return to the ship. Navigation to Kom Ombo. Arrival and visit his Temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Hareoris. Continuation to Edfu. Overnight stay on board. Breakfast Lunch Dinner

DAY 6

Breakfast, visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the god Horus. Continuation to Luxor. Visit the Temple of Luxor, the work of two great pharaohs Ramses II and Ramses III. Return to the ship and overnight stay on board. Lunch and dinner.

DAY 7

Breakfast and disembarkation. Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshpesut and the Colossi of Memnon, Valley of the Kings. Return to the eastern shore to visit the Temple of Karnak, which dominates the entire site of Thebes born of the splendor of the pharaohs of the new empire. Return to the ship for lunch and later transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Cairo. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay

DAY 8

Breakfast and check out and at the scheduled time transfer by road to the Sinai Peninsula via the Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel under the Suez Canal passing from Africa to Asia. Visit to Ayun Musa or the fountains of Moses (Mara), then departure to the city of St. Catharine. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 9

Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning departure to Mount Moses or Mount Sinai (Mount Horeb) 2,285m high, where the prophet Moses received from God the Tablets of the Law, while the Hebrew people camped at the foot of the mountain from the top of the mountain we can view the sunrise and Mount St. Catherine the highest peak of the peninsula, 2,637m. Descending from the Mount we will visit the Monastery of Santa Catarina (if possible) located at 1,570m high with its impressive walls built between 527 and 565 by order of Emperor Justinian on the biblical site of the burning bush. The Monastery owes its name to St. Catharina, an Alexandrian martyr who died in 395, whose body carried by angels was discovered 5 centuries later on the top of the mountain that bears her name. The Monastery is the smallest diocese in the world, it is also the oldest active monastery and its library has the oldest manuscripts in the world after the Vatican. Return to the Hotel. Breakfast and at the scheduled time departure to the border point from where we will leave Egypt. Arrival in Arava, via Eilat, transfer to the Jordanian border. Border formalities and entry to Jordan. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 10

Breakfast. Full day dedicated to the visit of Petra, known as the “pink city”, where more than 2,000 years ago the Nabataeans located the capital of their empire over 500 years, carving admirable temples and tombs in the pink mountains and using advanced agricultural and water conduction systems. The tour begins at the Tomb of the Obelisks and continues along the Siq, a canyon of more than 1 km in length after which you will discover the Treasury, a colossal tomb decorated with columns and sculptures of incomparable refinement and beauty. Continuation to the street of the facades and the theater to approach the 850 steps that will lead us to the imposing monastery “El Deir”. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 11

Breakfast. Visit Little Petra was inhabited by the Nabateans and has many tombs, water vessels and watercourses, it has a small road that leads to some of the inner area, Siq AlBared, the scale of this area and the fact that it is the continuation of Petra, gave it the name of Little Petra. Departure to Wadi Rum. Excursion to the desert of Wadi Rum and ride in 4×4 vehicles. We will enter the pink sands of this desert, which has a special charm provided by the granite massifs that nature has modeled with whimsical shapes. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 12

Breakfast and departure to visit the Dead Sea. The lowest point on earth, located 400 meters below sea level. Its salinity and minerals. Continuation to the Sheikh Hussein O Allenby border, entry formalities and transfer to Jerusalem. Check in at the hotel and overnight stay

DAY 13

Breakfast. Departure via Mount Scopus to the Mount of Olives for a magnificent panoramic view of the city. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Basilica of the Agony. Continue to the modern part of the city to visit the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Herodian Model of Jerusalem are housed. Visit Yad Vashem, Holocaust memorial museum and the Ein Karem neighborhood, where the Churches of St. John the Baptist and the Visitation are located. Overnight stay in Jerusalem.

DAY 14

Departure to the Old City of Jerusalem to visit the Wailing Wall, the Temple Esplanade*, the Via Dolorosa and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Continuation to Mount Zion where the Tomb of King David, the Upper Room and the Abbey of the Dormition are located. In the afternoon visit the Basilica and Grotto of the Nativity and the Shepherds’ Field in Bethlehem*. Overnight stay in Jerusalem.

DAY 15

Breakfast and transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your flight back to your home city.
