DAY 1
Arrival before 12:00 noon. Reception at the Puebla Bus Terminal and transfer to the hotel of your choice. In the afternoon you will enjoy a panoramic streetcar ride through the main streets of the city of Puebla, popularly known as the “City of Angels”, colonial architectural jewel and declared World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Visit emblematic places such as: the Callejón de Los Sapos, the Parián or Crafts Market, the Barrio del Artista, the Casa de los Hermanos Serdán, the Convention Center, the Forts of Loreto and Guadalupe, among others (Consult operating hours). Then you will board the Cable Car, with incredible aerial views of the city. Continuation to the recently discovered Xanenetla Tunnels, an authentic lost city in the subsoil of the capital of Puebla that extends along a circuit of 10 kilometers of subway passages. Still under investigation, it is believed that they were built more than 500 years ago and served as trenches for Mexican troops during the battle of May 5, 1862. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 2
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Tlaxcala, capital of the state of the same name and one of the smallest entities in Mexico, but brimming with pre-Hispanic and colonial vestiges that can be seen both in its historic center and its surroundings. Visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Ocotlán, a masterpiece representative of the Mexican Baroque style; the Plaza de la Constitución, where twenty-eight arches form a majestic portal; the Government Palace, whose beauty lies both in the Plateresque style of its façade and in the excellent frescoed murals representing the history of the state; the Jorge Aguilar “El Ranchero” Bullring, considered one of the most beautiful in the country; and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, one of the first temples built in all of the Americas. Continuation to the archaeological site of Cacaxtla, which stands out for its excellent mural paintings very well preserved, dating from 600 to 900 B.C. Surprising colors and well-defined figures where you can appreciate the influence of the Mayan culture. Return to Puebla. Overnight stay in Puebla.
