DAY 1
Arrival in Athens, transfer to hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 2
Transfer to the cruise ship by one of our Globe Trotters Agency correspondents.
DAY 3
In the morning, panoramic visit of the Neoclassical center of Athens: Parliament, University, Library, and National Academy, Ilion Palace, Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Gate, Stadium, and many other mythical monuments. After sightseeing, visit the spectacular Acropolis. Rest of the day at leisure.
DAY 4
Early in the morning, transfer to the port of Piraeus to board the cruise ship that will take you to Mykonos, famous for its beaches of incredible beauty, its intense nightlife, and also for being the choice of the international Jet-Set.
DAY 5
Arrival in Kusadasi. Do not forget to participate in the optional excursion to Ephesus, one of the largest and best-preserved excavations of antiquity, where St. Paul was arrested and banished. In the afternoon arrive at the island of Patmos, where you can participate in the optional excursion and visit the monastery and the Grotto where St. John lived and wrote the book of Revelation.
DAY 6
In the morning arrival at the Port of Heraklion, capital of the island of Crete. Participating in the optional excursion, you will visit the Palace of Knossos and its famous “Labyrinth”, which was the Center of the incredible Minoan Civilization. In the afternoon we will visit the impressive island of Santorini, where according to legend are the remains of the lost continent Atlantis is. You will enjoy the cliff-side town of Fira, accessible by cable car or donkey, with its whitewashed houses, narrow streets, and outdoor cafes.
DAY 7
Return to Piraeus early in the morning. After breakfast on board, disembark and transfer to the hotel.
DAY 8
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Istanbul. Arrival transfer to the hotel. Accommodation
DAY 9
Breakfast and panoramic visit of the old part of Istanbul. We will drive to the Hippodrome, the ancient center of sports and political activities of Constantinople. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to view the Egyptian Obelisk, the Serpentine Column of Delphi, and the Fountain of William II. We will then continue to the Blue Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the city. Originally from the 17th century, this is one of the main ornaments of the Istanbul City line and is also famous for its blue tiles and 6 minarets. Optionally you will have the opportunity to continue your visit. Free time to continue exploring the city. Overnight stay.
DAY 10
Departure to Ankara. Brief panoramic view of the Capital of Turkey, and visit the Mausoleum of Atatürk (Founder of the Turkish Republic). Time at the Salt Lake. En-route visit of the Medieval Inn where the camel caravans stopped in the past on the silk road. Dinner and overnight stay in Cappadocia.
DAY 11
At dawn, you will have the possibility to participate in an optional hot air balloon excursion. Breakfast. Departure to Göreme valley, visiting the numerous monasteries and chapels carved into the rocks and decorated with frescoes of the tenth century. Continuation with the visit of Uçhisar, troglodyte village. Visit one of the typical carpet workshops. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 12
Departure to Konya. Visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana, poet, and philosopher who founded the mystical and religious sect of the Dancing Dervishes. Time in the city and continuation of the trip to Pamukkale. Overnight stay at the hotel and dinner.
DAY 13
Breakfast and visit Pamukkale, a spectacular place unique in the world, for its dazzling white waterfalls and natural pools. We will visit the ancient Hiera polis. Continuation to Ephesus. Greco-Roman city where we find the Temple of Hadrian, Temple of Trajan, the theater, the Library of Celsus, etc… visit the House of the Virgin, where she spent the last years of her life. Continuation to the airport to take the flight to Istanbul. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.
DAY 14
Accommodation and breakfast. Free day for personal activities, the possibility of optional excursions to get to know the city.
DAY 15
Breakfast. At the indicated time transfer to the airport to take the flight to Tel Aviv. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Arrival in the capital of Israel and transfer to the holy city of Jerusalem. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 16
Breakfast. Departure to the city of Bethlehem is the birthplace of King David, meaning the City of Bread, as a result of the wheat harvest that grew in the region. According to Christian tradition, Jesus was born there. We will arrive in Bethlehem through the Nativity Circle, visit the cave where Jesus was born, and the Manger Square, where Jesus was laid after his birth. We will also visit the Greek Church and the Catholic Church, and the Milk Grotto, where Mary fed her son. Overview of the Shepherds’ Fields and visit the Church. Return to Jerusalem. Afternoon at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel
DAY 18
Breakfast. The tour begins with a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit Mount Zion and entrance to the Old City to tour the Muslim and Jewish Quarters. View of the recently restored “Cardo”, the Wailing Wall, and arrival at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher through the stations of the Via Dolorosa. Return to hotel in Jerusalem and overnight stay.
DAY 18
Breakfast and transfer to Israel-Jordan border. After border crossing and customs formalities, your guide will meet you on the Jordanian side. Drive to the lost city of Petra. Arrival and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 19
Breakfast. A day dedicated to visiting Petra, known as the “pink city”, where more than 2,000 years ago the Nabataeans located the capital of their empire over 500 years, carving admirable temples and tombs in the pink mountains and using advanced agricultural and water conduction systems. The tour begins at the Tomb of the Obelisks and continues along the Siq, a canyon of more than 1 km long, behind which you will discover the Treasury, a colossal tomb decorated with columns and sculptures of incomparable beauty and refinement. Continuation to the street of the facades and the theater to approach the 850 steps that will lead us to the imposing monastery “El Deir”. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 20
Breakfast and transfer to the Jordan-Israel border. After crossing the border and customs formalities your driver will meet you on the Israeli side. Drive to Jerusalem. Arrival and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 21
Breakfast. Free day for personal activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 22
Breakfast. At the scheduled time transferred to Jerusalem airport to board our flight to the city of origin. End of our services.
